This Genome Project consists of the whole genome analysis of 16 individuals who are selected from the families living at least 4 generations in a given city in Turkey. As a result of this genome project, reference genome for the Turkish population will be established to be used to detect genomics DNA variations, population diversity, genetic admixture analysis, inherited disorders and genetic disease in Turkish population. We aim to accomplish the initial analyses and data generation in very high quality. All the sequence analysis are performed by using Illumina/Solexa next generation sequencing platform.
